Our Story
Roxboro Clinic was founded by a group of family physicians, specialists, and emergency physicians who shared a common frustration with the state of modern healthcare. We saw how difficult it had become for patients to get the care they needed—facing long waits, fragmented communication, and care that often felt disconnected.
From the emergency department to the operating room to the family practice, we saw people fall through the cracks—not because of lack of skill or effort, but because systems were overstretched. Care teams were under-resourced, appointments were rushed, and coordination between providers was often delayed.
Roxboro Clinic was created to do things differently. We set out to build a clinic where patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care, and where communication flows easily between physicians, specialists, and allied health providers. Where prevention is just as important as treatment.
Our model brings together family medicine, longevity and preventive care, and close collaboration with trusted local specialists. The result is a seamless experience—one built around relationships and long-term partnership.

• Comprehensive medical history review and physical examination
• At-home or on-site laboratory testing
• ECG and diagnostic imaging
• DEXA scans for bone heath and body composition
• Cardiovascular fitness testing with VO2 max assessment

• Nutrition assessment and counseling with our skilled dieticians

Is this covered by Alberta Health?
Roxboro Clinic offers services above and beyond what is covered by Alberta Health. Your membership fee covers comprehensive uninsured services and enhanced coordination of care. Physician services that are insured under the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) are billed directly to Alberta Health, and patients are not charged for those insured services.
What if I need to see a specialist?
Our physicians maintain strong professional relationships with specialists across the city and work closely with them to coordinate referrals and follow-up care. We remain involved throughout the process to help ensure continuity and clarity in your care.
Can I still go to the ER if needed?
Absolutely. Your membership does not replace emergency services. If an urgent concern arises, our on-call emergency physicians can help guide you in deciding the appropriate next step. If a visit to the emergency department is necessary, we can assist in preparing relevant information and communicating with hospital teams to support continuity of care.
